Band Weaving
Deborah Holcomb has been weaving up a storm on her brand new Vävstuga designed bandloom. The loom was designed to weave ornate pick-up patterns and is a unique piece of weaving equipment.

Gathering Basket and Cowl Material
Pictured is a large gathering basket from Karen Wychock’s April workshop and woven cloth with purple/brown wool and turquoise tencel warp. The weft is a variegated silk from Lion Brand. The cloth will be sewn into two cowls. Handwoven by Liz Heine.

Scenes of Bethlehem
A series woven with 30/2 cotton warp and weft on a combination drawloom (pattern shafts for the middle panel, single-unit pulls for the lettering up the sides). Designed by Amy, inspired by the pictorial work of the Svenssons, renowned 19c Swedish damask weavers. “I had so much fun wandering around town, planning these pieces!” Woven by Amy Blair

Two shades of green 3/2 pearl cotton were used. Woven by Ellen Turner.

Almost off-the-loom. Mixed textured rayon warp and two strand weft, blue cotton and a white cotton texture. Woven by Liz Heine
Snowflake Scarf
I wove this scarf for my granddaughter’s au pair. She will be going home to Thailand in July after having spent 2 winters in PA and experiencing snow for the first time. I chose the snowflake pattern and wove it in white and light blue to remind her of the snow and ice. Woven by Barbara Hohenwarter.
